Gaurav Patankar

Gaurav Patankar, serves as the Head of Alternative Investment Strategy at Bloomberg, LP. In this role, he is responsible for building and triangulating Bloomberg’s value proposition as a data driven thought leader and un-conflicted OCIO partner for asset owners. Over his 22 year investment career Gaurav has invested and allocated capital globally and across multiple asset classes.

Previously, Mr. Patankar, held senior positions at Lockheed Martin Pensions, Millennium Partners, The Boston Company & 3i India. He is the Managing Partner of Mission1 Investments LLC, an impact focused early stage investor in Fintech, as a non-executive Vice Chairman on the board of Shriram AMC Ltd. and as a Co-Founder and non-executive board member of Niyogin Fintech Ltd.

Gaurav earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, an M.B.A. in Finance and Strategy and a Ph.D. in Social Economics and Governance. He lives with his family in New Jersey.
